I am very happy to witness a side of Tanzania that not many tourists get to!
The area around the Sinya market is full of plastic foil and used bottles. My idea was to start a project, trying to clean up the market area. The target was to change the Maasai point of view when it comes to waste so they take a more ethical approach when disposing their plastic garbage.
In terms of life in Enduimet itself, I personally prefer to explore nature with a bike, I enjoyed being reconnected with nature.

The majority of our time is spent seeking new routes of interest to from one place to another via foot but more often on bicycle. So far the trip for me has been an amazing experience! I have really enjoyed the opportunity to be able to go where tourists can’t go. The thing I have enjoyed the most thus far is saving the stranded giraffe from the pools however, this was a one off, and unscheduled event.
In only a few weeks I have experienced, something that a tourist could never do so. I got to know some local Maasai in their villages and I have seen his land, visited his people, and eaten with them together. The local people are very hospitable and I have been treated with great respect. Katuro has shown me the true wonder of his country.
Having an opportunity to coordinate and work with volunteers in my community environment was so interesting and great exposure. I am from Enduimet and I want to be a tour guide. This opportunity to share experiences with others where we worked together to build cycling trails, we rescued a giraffe and we built campsites was a lifetime experience for me. I really appreciate the efforts the volunteers took to help Enduimet become a great place.
